Awkwafina

American musician and actor Awkwafina began her career with hilarious songs that dealt with racial identity and sexuality with boldly comedic perspective before broadening her reach to Hollywood. Nora Lum, born in Forest Hills Queens to Chinese and Korean immigrants was her very first musical encounter. She played the trumpet. Apart from classical music and jazz, Nora Lum began studying hip-hop in her teens. While at school, she majored in journalism, and women's studies, and was learning Mandarin in Beijing during a brief time. Her focus shifted to music once she completed her degree. Her song My Vag which was her response to the Mickey Avalon song My Dick, became a huge hit across the Internet and later appeared on her debut LP Yellow Ranger. It also included other viral hits like the body-positive Queef as well as the cheeky hometown tour NYC BitcheUSD. The latter track was linked to Awkwafina's NYC, a 2015 travel guide. The resume of her included the musician and author. Now she was looking for a new career path in acting. Apart from the early television shows such as Girl Code and Tawk, she's also appeared in movies including Neighbors2Storks and Bad Rap. In the year 2018 she scored a number of breakthrough roles, such as Dude Ocean's 8, or Crazy Rich Asians. In June, she released the EP in Fina We Trust.
