Elliott was born in New York City, the elder of two children. Paula Niedert is a talent coordinator and Chris Elliott is her mother. Her father was Bob Elliott (radio comedian). Her younger sister is actress Bridey Elliott. They were both born in Wilton, Connecticut. She was a student at Immaculate High School Danbury in Connecticut. There she was a part of school musicals and plays. After finishing Immaculate High School in 2005, she attended Marymount Manhattan College in New York City but was unable to attend her first semester.
